Seabrook & The Hamptons
Community Profile
he Hamptons make up one of the most exciting stretches of shoreline on the East Coast. The enchantment of the Seacoast region stretches to the southernmost New Hampshire towns of Hampton, Hampton Falls and Seabrook. From the inviting orchards and farmlands to the bustle of the Hampton Beach boardwalk, these towns complement the Greater Portsmouth area and make up one of the most exciting 18 miles of shoreline on the East Coast.
Hampton has made its mark as a pioneer town for education. The state's first public school was built on the site of Hampton's Centre School in 1649. And one of New Hampshire's first "proprietary schools," a forerunner of today's high schools, was the Hampton Academy, built in 1610. Today, this community of more than 12,000 is considered one of the premier family resorts in the East. For centuries, families have been coming to Hampton for vacation getaways and holiday celebrations. Hampton Beach and North Beach (one beach separated by Great Boar's Head) make up approximately four miles of beautiful, sandy bathing spots. The Hampton Beach boardwalk is the site of continuous activity and entertainment throughout the summer-from nightly concerts at the Sea Shell Stage and weekly fireworks to world-class entertainment at the Hampton Beach Club Casino Ballroom. Hampton Beach also hosts numerous festivals throughout the summer, the most popular being its Seafood Festival, a two-day event that attracts more than 100,000 hungry visitors.
The town of Hampton Falls is a picture-postcard example of New England. The town was originally part of Hampton, but was incorporated as a separate community in 1726. Today, many old buildings stand as testament to its colorful past. Winding country roads lead past many sprawling farms and well-kept farmhouses. Residents and visitors await the changing of the seasons to visit the abundant apple and berry orchards throughout the Hampton Falls countryside.
The seaside border community of Seabrook is an advantageous community in which to raise a family. Seabrook Beach has an ample supply of year-round and seasonal beachside property, and its proximity to Hampton Beach allows residents convenient access to the many activities throughout the year. These communities provide excellent public services, wonderful educational facilities, a favorable economic base and tax climate and are ideal locations for a business or residence.
