The Chamber's Business Development Committee, in partnership with Portsmouth Community Radio 106.1FM, recently kicked off a new radio program focused on topics and subjects of particular interest to the seacoast business community.  The program, Seacoast Business Connection, explores the issues, challenges and opportunities facing area businesses.  The mission of the program is to serve the community by promoting and inspiring business vitality.

Topics explored recently by show hosts include commercial real estate development, the eCoast, globalization, business development, workplace wellness, and educational resources available to seacoast businesses. Organizations and people that have been featured on the program include Seacoast Local, Favorite Independent Restaurant Association, Deer Street Merchants Association, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Pease Greeters, the Tenants Association at Pease, Kirk Communications, NH Small Business Development Center, Chamber President Doug Bates and the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, and Ross Gittell, economist with the UNH Whittemore School of Business.

The show is anchored by Paul McAskill, Compass Points Coaching, and features a rolling dual-host format. Four sets of hosts alternate weekly, each bringing their own unique insight on the vibrant seacoast business community.  Host teams include:

1st Monday of the month
Anne Brown, Daystar Computer Services
Steve Chaisson, Allegra Print & Imaging

2nd Monday of the month:
Zachary Gregg, International Office Suites Business Centers
George Venci, George Venci Law, PLLC

3rd Monday of the month:
Sean Clancy, Leverage Coaching & Consulting
Mark Sullivan, Seacoast Asset Management, Inc.

4th Monday of the month:
Nancy Notis, Portsmouth Regional Hospital
Grant Sanborn, Portsmouth Regional Hospital

Other volunteers that have helped to make the program possible are Cheryl Lee Bozek, a member of the business development committee; and Bjorn Turnquist and Rick Dirck, Portsmouth Community Radio.

The "Chamber Radio Team" encourages members to get Involved with Seacoast Business Connection Radio Series by suggesting potential speakers, topcs and issues that hosts can explore on the air.   Those who have suggestions may submit them to sbc@wscafm.org.

Seacoast Business Connection is a program of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce Business Development Committee presented  to educate, inform, serve and promote the local business community.
