Now's the time to sign up for the 12th Annual Portsmouth Harbour Trail 5K Road Race and Kid's Fun Run set for July 14. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Chamber's program of work including tourism and other economic development activities.The race is open to all ages and includes men's and women's categories: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-19; Open, 20-29 and 30-39; Master, 40-49; Special Master, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and up; and team competition.

Prizes will be awarded to the top overall male and female runners, the top three finishers in each age group, to the oldest and youngest Portsmouth finisher and the top three teams.

The race will begin at 9 a.m. starting at the Portsmouth Middle School on Parrott Ave. in Portsmouth. The Kid's Fun Run starts at 10 a.m.

Online registration is $15 and available through July 11. Mail-in, walk-in and day-of registration for the 5k race is $20.

Driving Directions to the Portsmouth Harbour Trail Road Race

Address:  155 Parrot Ave, Portsmouth Middle School.

If Traveling South from Maine on  I-95: Take Exit 7 immediately after crossing over the Piscataqua River Bridge into New Hampshire. Make a left at the bottom of the off-ramp onto Market Street.  Follow for approximately  1.5 miles into the center of town.  (The North Church with clock tower will be ahead of you.)  Merge into the left lane and take your first left onto Fleet Street.   Go straight through the light to the  second intersection  (right in front of the Fire Station), turn left onto Court St. and continue to the stop sign.    Turn  right on  to  Pleasant Street and then bear right onto Junkins Ave.   Just before getting to the South Mill Pond,   turn right onto Parrot Ave  and drive roughly 200 yds to the Middle School.
