- Seacoast Science Center, Odiorne Point, Rye: museum and experiential learning center with interactive marine exhibits, and now a humpback whale skeleton!
- USS Albacore museum: Step inside the dry-docked submarine, the fastest of its time and the first to use the teardrop hull design. A National Historic Landmark. Open year-round. 600 Market Street, Portsmouth.
- The Children's Museum of New Hampshire, Dover: hours of amusement for kids with a variety of interactive exhibits and play stations
- Bowl-O-Rama Family Fun Center, Portsmouth
- Strawbery Banke Museum, Portsmouth: Bring your umbrella, because the grounds of Strawbery Banke are on an open campus. But you can pop in and out of the visitors center, gallery, historic homes and exhibits. Open daily May to October.
- Portsmouth Athenaeum: Browse the library filled with books, newspapers, documents, photographs and artifacts highlighting the 400-year history of the Seacoast. Free and open to the public. 9 Market Square.
- American Independence Museum, Exeter: Discover the stories behind America's revolutionary past and how they relate to your experiences today. Guided tours & exhibits of the Ladd-Gilman House (1721 National Historic Landmark) and the 1775 Folsom Tavern offered. Open mid-May through October.
- Theatres: take in a performance in The Music Hall, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Pontine Theatre, Player's Ring or other area venue
