Our Mission

The Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural and civic welfare of the Greater Portsmouth area by:

1) Actively supporting the preservation of the free enterprise system and thereby creating a better understanding and appreciation of the importance of the business person and consumer, and a concern for their problems;

2) Encouraging the growth of existing industries and businesses and giving appropriate assistance to any new firms or individuals seeking to locate their businesses to the Greater Portsmouth area;

3) Supporting all activities believed to be beneficial to the area and opposing those which might be detrimental; and

4) Promoting programs of a civic, social, and cultural nature which are designed to increase the functional and aesthetic values of the community
