The Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce undertook a comprehensive branding study in 2006 in order to better understand the perceptions of the members we serve, community leaders and potential members. We gained deeper insights into why they value the Chamber, and what they are seeking from involvement with the Chamber. The outcome of the branding study yielded favorable ratings, including:
- Members believe the Chamber is a good value
- Current and potential members cited networking opportunities as the most important Chamber benefit
- The Chamber's major roles are to promote and support businesses, and tourism
- Public advocacy is important to members, as well as educational programs
- Chamber staff and leadership contribute greatly to member satisfaction
